ٹریفک قوانین پر عمل درآمد نہ ہونا، ٹوٹی پھوٹی سڑکیں، جلد بازی، غلط راستے کا استعمال اور بڑھتی ہوئی بے ترتیب ٹریفک جان لیوا حادثات کی وجوہات ہیں۔
کراچی میں سال 2023 کے دوران ٹریفک حادثات میں اضافہ ہوا اور رواں سال کسی نہ کسی حادثات میں 758 افراد جاں بحق اور 11 ہزار 919 زخمی ہوئے۔
کراچی میں ٹریفک حادثات میں اضافے کے باوجود ٹریفک پولیس قوانین پر عملدرآمد پر اتنی توجہ نہیں دے رہی جتنی زیادہ چالان کاٹنے پر ہے، سڑکوں پر حفاظتی اقدامات کا فقدان ہے جہاں زیادہ حادثات ہوتے ہیں۔
شہر میں موٹرسائیکل، رکشہ ، ہیوی ٹریفک کے لیے سخت قوانین پر عملدرآمد کیا جائے تو حادثات میں کمی ممکن ہو گی۔
