Rawalpindi: The 274th Corps Commanders Conference was held at the General Headquarters (GHQ) under the chairmanship of Chief of Defence Staff and Army Chief Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, focusing on national and regional security matters.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the conference began with a recitation of Fatiha in honor of martyrs who sacrificed their lives defending the homeland. The forum reaffirmed that the sacrifices of martyrs are the foundation of Pakistan’s security.
The conference praised the armed forces for their professional expertise, operational performance, and intelligence-based counter-terrorism efforts. The Army Chief emphasized that through the cooperation of the government, armed forces, and the public, Pakistan is strengthening both its security and economic stability.
The forum stressed that all terrorist elements, proxies, and their facilitators operating under India’s influence or other external sponsors would be relentlessly pursued. The momentum of Operation “Ghazb lil Haq” will continue until all terrorist safe havens are completely eliminated.
Participants appreciated Pakistan’s diplomatic efforts to promote peace in the Middle East and reiterated their commitment to negotiations, de-escalation, and principled diplomacy.
The conference strongly condemned the recent attacks on Saudi Arabia’s petrochemical and industrial facilities, stating that such acts unnecessarily escalate regional tensions and undermine sincere efforts for conflict resolution. Saudi Arabia’s restraint and cautious approach were commended as paving the way for mediation and diplomatic solutions.
The forum also rejected India’s continuous spread of misleading information, baseless allegations, and false-flag narratives, noting that such tactics have been exposed internationally. Concern was also expressed over human rights violations, extrajudicial killings, and staged encounters in occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
In conclusion, the Army Chief directed commanders to maintain high standards of operational readiness, discipline, training, and professional skill, while expressing full confidence in the armed forces’ ability to counter all threats and safeguard Pakistan’s sovereignty and regional integrity.
